Congratulations to WilliamAldred who is the proud owner of a gleaming new Hyundai i10 after winning Turners' 'Win a car' competition, run in conjunction with the East Anglian Daily Times.
William, 45, a car mechanic from Framlingham was thrilled when he found out he had scooped the prize.
Readers of the EADT had to collect six tokens publishedin the newspaper and submit them along with the completed entry form. Entrants had to rate thefeatures of the Hyundai i10 from 1-10, with whoever closest to the expert rating being judged on a tie-breakerquestion.
The competition was held as part of the companies 50th birthday celebrations, after founder Pauline Turner won a car after completing a competition on a Kellogg’s Cornflakes packet, which lead to the set up of the Turners business.
Mrs Turner handed the keys overto Mr Aldred after her own experience winning a car 50 years earlier. She commented: "When the boys told me they were doing it I thought thatwas really nice. I am sure my husband would have been thrilled," commented Mrs Turner.
"We had entries as far away has north London and Cambridgewhich was surprising." comments Ian Turner, owner of Turners Motor Group. "We had 1,400 entries which was great and we went thoughthem all, but Mr Alder’s was the winner by a margin!"
