New Hyundai Kona
First introduced in 2017 the KONA represents the best in the compact SUV market. New design updates for 2021 coupled with the efficiency of new hybrid engine options and the promise of a new Sports N line trim, KONA goes from strength to strength.
Exterior
Fresh updates to the front and rear are the basis for the New KONA. Enhanced LED running lights provide sleek edges to the more sophisticated bumper and grille design. Smooth headlight surrounds encompass the seamless transition into the new bumper moulding emphasising a cleaner and sharper front end. The side profile maintains it's dynamic profile, whilst the additional 40mm in length balances out the characteristic wide stance giving real kerbside appeal. New contrasting materials are featured on the new rear bumper with new taillights complementing the front end changes.
Interior
Traditional dashboard dials have been replaced with a new 10.25" digitalised supervision cluster, featuring clearer more dynamic and intuitive dials able to display much more key driver information than traditional displays. Most models feature the latest 10.25" smart navigation and media centre including Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and the Hyundai BlueLink technology enabling you to connect with your car remotely. The light and airy cabin is enhanced with ambient lighting, gently illuminating footwells and key areas of the calming interior. Ventilated and heated seats are available ensuring maximum driver comfort in all temperatures whilst rear passengers get their own USB connectivity.
Engine and Performance
Hybrid technology is at the heart of the New KONA engines. Manual transmission is offered combined with a 1.0 T-GDi 48V Mild Hybrid (MHEV) using a 32kW electric motor taking energy from a 1.56kWh lithium polymer battery. Alternatively, there's a 1.6 Hybrid (HEV) offering dual clutch transmission (DCT) for automatic gearchange returning up to 57.6 miles per gallon and CO2 emissions from 112g/km.
Safety and Technology
New KONA is packed with the latest in vehicle safety tech. Standard across all models is Hyundai eCall, which automatically calls the emergency with details of your location should the airbags deploy or if the eCall button is pressed. Lane Follow Assist and Lane Keep Assist help keep you on the right track whilst collision avoidance systems such as Blind Spot Warning, Forward Collision Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance help protect you from other vehicles. Hyundai's Driver Attention Alert will also monitor your drive time and driving styles alerting you to changes along your journey.
